I really need to figure out foundation, I'm getting annoyed with the fact my complexion looks awful in every photo someone other than me takes of me 😣
@andi That was sort of the problem with that lovely Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art - on a tripod, it made for *perfectly* sharp results, highlighting every single pore.. O.o;;
(I'll still be picking up another one when finances permit, though. Sharp even wide open, and highly resistant to CA)
Unfortunately, as with everything else in makeup, it seems to come down to experimentation to see what works for you. A primer may also prove useful - NYX's "Dew Me Up" works very well for me; their Photo Finish not nearly as well, tending to let the foundation sometimes cake up.
@porsupah Ooh nice lense!! 😍
I do use a primer, generally either L'Oreal Infallible mattifying or this Polish one that one of my girlfriends gave me. Maybe I'm using it wrong... 😅
@andi I was /really/ happy with it - checking around reviews suggested the only better lens was Nikon's equivalent, at something like 2x the price. Sigma's been doing some noteworthy design work in the last few years, filling in other maker's range gaps, and offering comparable lenses much more affordably, without any compromise in quality.
Ah! It's so difficult to know - I'd been using this Photo Finish happily for a couple months, then recently, the same foundation (one of Max Factor's?) has sometimes been caking. =:P
I'm going with full OLED coverage on my synthetic body. *nods*
This is the personal instance of Andi N. Fiziks. Love me or hate me it's still an obsession 😘
